The start of the game really determines what time you can start tailgating. Some of those early afternoon games, whether it be college or NFL football or even baseball day games, start at noon or 1 pm. What that tells me is there is some room for some morning tailgating. Nothing says morning tailgating like some eggs and bacon along with a spicy bloody mary. The problem with Bloody Marys is that you have to bring along a lot of other stuff to spruce them up. Who needs all that hassle when you are out tailgating? I recently discovered Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix and all you need to do is bring the bottle. Check out their video of sampling Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix at the December Bears/Packers game. (Careful when watching the video, there is some coarse language in there.)

Typical bloody mary mixes taste a lot like a can of tomato soup. It is up to you doctor up the mix with Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, garlic, horseradish, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and whatever else you prefer in your bloody mary. When it comes to tailgating, bringing all of those spices and sauce bottles with you is a big hassle. Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix has the right combination of all those spices all contained in the bottle. So no more making sure you brought everything to make a bloody mary. You already have a check list for your tailgating supplies. You don’t need a separate check list just for your bloody mary ingredients.
I prefer spicy food so naturally I enjoy a spicy bloody mary. Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix has got quite a kick to it but it is not overpowering. The mix of garlic, pepper, horseradish and other spices make for a great bloody mary. I even had a few family members sample it and they had the same reaction.
The key to making a good bloody mary with Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix, is you need to shake the bottle thoroughly before pouring. Because Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix has so many spices already mixed in, there is natural settling. So you need to follow their trademarked tagline and “Shake the Bottle, Wake the Luv”. This is done to make sure all the ingredients are well mixed so you taste all the flavors. Next pour your vodka of choice over some ice and add the Jimmy Luv’s. Add your garnish of choice, either a celery stick, pickle spear or whatever you prefer, and you’ll have yourself a great bloody mary.
I’d highly recommend Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix to any tailgater no matter if you are a morning or afternoon tailgater. Not only is it a good mix but it includes everything so you don’t have to bring your entire spice rack to the stadium. One word of warning, Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Mary Mix comes in glass bottles. So if you tailgate where the management has instituted a “no glass” tailgating policy, make sure to transfer it to a plastic container.
