While tailgate parties likely started in the back of classic pick-up trucks complete with coolers and lawn chairs, with a little creativity you can also turn your conversion Van into a “mobile house party” for the next big game.

Why would anyone choose to sit in an uncomfortable plastic chair when they could be at the game relaxing on a leather couch instead? Sure, eventually you’re going to have to get up to turn those brats and dogs but you can always come back to the comfort of your van afterwards. Even better is the fact some conversion vans are comfortable and spacious enough for you to enjoy an entire vacation in.

For those who aren’t already familiar with them, a conversion van is a cargo van which has been upgraded or “converted” with a variety of additional amenities to help make travel not only easier, but more enjoyable. Conversion vans deliver a wide array of options to choose from. Even the more basic conversion packages come with a great towing capacity and seats which convert into beds. With that said, you can also choose to go all out for tailgating with a conversion van which comes loaded with a kitchen area, a shower and more.

Looking for an easy way to tow your smoker behind your conversion van so you and your friends can enjoy your world famous brisket before the game? Not a problem. Conversion vans can tow up to 6,400 lbs. Also, who needs an ice chest at the big game when you’ve got an entire fridge to hold your drinks and food? Port-a-potties and stadium bathrooms are a thing of the past if you choose the right conversion van as well. Even better, if you’re the type of die-hard sports fan who likes to paint their face, yet hates the resulting itchiness, you can easily get cleaned up in your conversion van’s sink after the game is over.

Rainy weather while tailgating are of no concern with a conversion van anymore either. Just kick back while the rain shower moves through, watch a little TV or DVD of your favorite movie. You can even keep a spare change of clothes in one of the van’s cargo compartments for when your clumsy buddy accidentally squirts some mustard on your favorite jersey.

If you’re a die-hard sports fan and tailgater there are literally a million reasons why a conversion van is a great investment. While everyone else decided to go tailgating in a motorhome or pickup truck, you’ll be living the good life in a the greatest luxury caravan on the open road – the conversion van.
