Yardbarker Wants Your Opinion on Sports Blogs

May 3, 2010 in Uncategorized

Since starting TailgatingIdeas.com in 2007 we have struggled with a bit of an identity crisis. Although we blog about tailgating and the tailgate party lifestyle we really don’t fit into a category or a niche when it comes to classifying what we do here. The closest category you could lump us into would be to consider us a sports blog. Even though we don’t write about the Ben Roethlisberger scandal, college football recruiting or even post pictures of European Soccer WAGs, I guess we are considered to be a sports blog. After all, most tailgating takes place prior to sporting events (although concert tailgating is gaining popularity by the day) normally. So because of this we were invited to become a member of the Yard Barker sports blog network. Now Yard Barker would like to hear from the readers of TailgatingIdeas.com and find out your opinions on sports blogs.

Yard Barker has put together a 10 question survey and seeks your participation. I took the survey and completed it in about three minutes. The best part is Yard Barker is offering up a chance to win a $100 American Express gift card just by completing the survey. Make sure in the second to last question to say you took part in the survey because you read about it on TailgatingIdeas.com. If we send the most people we can win an additional $100 American Express gift card. If we are fortunate enough to win it, we would turn around and give it away to our readers. So even if you didn’t win the $100 American Express gift card from Yard Barker, you could potentially win another one if we are the No. 1 blog to get people to complete the survey.

Take the survey HERE. Good luck and $100 worth of tailgating gear might come in handy before football season kicks up soon.

Mid-Week Eye Candy Wrapper #85: Lucy Pinder Edition

April 14, 2010 in Babes, Mailbag

I know what you are thinking. “Who’s Lucy Pinder?”. I was wondering that myself when I came across a gallery of photos of her on DonChavez.com. A quick trip to Google and Wikipedia reveals that she is apparently a British glamor and bikini model that was discovered by a freelance photographer while sunbathing on a beach. All I can say is thanks to the photographer. Way to keep an aye out! Links to follow:

Weekend Wrap #36: Shake Up At The Top Edition

November 1, 2008 in Mailbag

news_wrap.jpgCollege football is crazy this season. By virtue of not having a playoff system, a team that did not play this weekend could easily be ranked No. 1 at the end of it. No. 3 Penn State was idle this week and the pollsters could leap frog them over No. 2 Alabama to the No. 1 spot because Texas lost to Texas Tech. We won’t know until the polls come out but it will sure ruffle some feathers no matter who is placed No. 1. One thing is for sure is that Michigan will not go bowling this year for the first time in a long time. I am sure Buckeye fans are loving that hire of Rich Rodriguez now.

Alright, so how about some links regarding tailgating and other stuff you tailgaters like?
