Video: Don’t Vote

Posted by Dave On October - 6 - 2008

I was sent this video from Kellex over at The Sports Dollar. It is a bunch of big name celebrities of Hollywood (will.i.am, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Dustin Hoffman, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, Giovanni Ribisi, Forest Whitaker to name a few) talking about the upcoming elections. I hadn’t seen it before and despite the fact that that it has nothing to do with tailgating I decided to share it.

The recent limitations on tailgating times, glass bottle bans, bans on charcoal, the no open flame policy at the Super Bowl, etc. What if we as tailgaters were given a voice, a vote, on these issues? You would damn make sure you were first in line when the polls open, right? Not to get all preachy on you but you should approach the November election with the same enthusiasm as you do tailgating.

And just like in the video, I am sending this to five of my blogging friends. (Tailgating Times, The World Of Isaac, That’s So Fetch, NFL Juice and Blog About Beer) Hopefully they can help spread the word too. Feel free to use the “Share This Post” button you see on the bottom to share with five of your friends as well.

The web address the video promotes is below so you don’t even have to open up a new window and type it in. Just click it and punch in your address for voter registration info. Or you can just not vote. It’s up to you.
