Freedom Grill FG-50 Now The New Margaritaville Tailgating Grill

August 11, 2009 in Tailgating Gear

Margaritaville Tailgating Grill StadiumBy now you are probably familiar with the Freedom Grill FG-50. You know, the full size tailgating grill that attaches to your 2″ tow hitch receiver and rides on the outside of your vehicle to and from the game?

Recently Freedom Grill partnered with Jarden Consumer Solutions to offer the FG-50 exclusively as the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill.  It’s the same great grill you have come to know and love from Freedom Grill – but now with all the power, passion and party of the Margaritaville brand. (You probably will recognize the Margaritaville brand name from the Margaritaville Margarita Makers you have seen in the parking lots.) The major changes from the old FG-50 to the new Margaritaville Tailgating Grill includes a new accent color and unique graphics promoting the relaxed lifestyle of the islands. The same quality and durable craftsmanship you have come to expect and rely on from Freedom Grill is still built right into the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill. Hard-core Parrottheads and casual fans of Jimmy Buffet definitely should look into getting one of these to complete their pre-concert party spread.

Take a look at the new Margaritaville Tailgating Grill and you’ll notice the subtle changes that have been made compared to the old FG-50 model. (Click the image for an even larger, more detailed view.)

As you would expect, the “Nuts and Bolts” features of the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill include a 20,000 BTU propane grill with 352-square-inch cooking space. It also features a removable grill head with built-in legs, foldout side tables and integrated side handles. The main feature that still makes it a Freedom Grill is the patented swing arm that attaches to any vehicle with a standard 2″ receiver hitch and swings away from your vehicle when its time to grill. The Margaritaville Tailgating Grill suggested retail price is $399.99 and is offered in numerous places on the web including Amazon.com, Freedom Grill and the Margaritaville Cargo Online Store.

Attention: If green is not your color, see our video tutorial on how to customize the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill to your own team colors. If you don’t have the time or patience to customize your own grill, we can do it for you. Since these are custom ordered to your exact specifications, prices will vary. Huge Price Drop on “The Carnivore” Extreme Tailgating Truck

March 6, 2009 in Tailgating Gear, Videos

You may or may not be familiar with The Carnivore but I am willing to bet any tailgater worth his salt that has seen it would kill to have it. It’s a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD that converts into a sports bar/outdoor kitchen with the push of a button. It was originally priced at $250,000 but I just heard word the price has been slashed drastically to $98,750.00! From a quarter-million to just under 100 Grand, are you kidding me? That’s one helluva a discount and you get this impeccable tailgating machine? Keep in mind this rig was one of the five finalist in the Tostitos “Beat My Tailgate” Contest back during football season. Take a look at the video to see how this converts from a regular truck to the ultimate tailgating machine on four wheels.

Here are the highlights before getting into the nitty gritty of the specs. The Carnivore has two Freedom Grills, an FG-100 on the back and an FG-50 on the front. There are a total of 7 TV screens, a KVH satellite, and a refrigerated center console and the satellite and TVs are built right into the tonneau cover.

If you have a spare 100 grand laying around, you could do worse than to buy this thing. And now that the price has been lowered to more than 50% off, it is like stealing.
