Weekend Wrap-Up #114: FSU Girl Beer Bong Edition

Posted by Dave On September - 13 - 2010

Football is officially here. This past weekend we had Week No. 2 of college football and the NFL opened its 2010 season this weekend. Although we are all probably extremely excited that football has returned and that means we get to turn up the tailgating a bit, not everyone is cheering. Florida State traveled to Norman, Oklahoma this past Saturday for the first time since Bobby Bowden began coaching FSU in 1976. Might have been a long layoff but the result was the same as it was in 1976. So by taking a 30 point beating on the road I am sure the FSU tailgaters are licking their wounds and coping the best they know how. This young lady is probably doing her best not to cry while doing her beer bong. Links follow the image:

Video: Bush Jumping For a Beer

Posted by Dave On December - 8 - 2008

The old ad slogan goes, “what would you do for a Klondike Bar?”. When it comes to tailgating, “what would you do for a free beer?”.

The answer is leaping and diving into the bushes in front of someone’s house.

Yeah, yeah. Brett Favre got traded to the New York Jets. Who really cares when you can check out Victoria, a 22 year old student at the University of Central Florida.

She obviously does not need any tailgating tips from us. She has already mastered the four beers in two hands technique perfectly. So with that said, how about some links?

Even Your Filthy Mouth Can Be A Fan With Jersey Naps

Posted by Dave On July - 7 - 2008

JerseyNaps_OklahomaNapkins while tailgating are crucial unless you have no issue entering the game with BBQ sauce caked underneath your fingernails. You are a true fan and grabbing the 100 count package of napkins at your local supermarket just won’t cut it. No, you need to support your team all the way down to the way you wipe your mouth. JerseyNaps to the rescue.

JerseyNaps are napkins folded to look like a sports jersey of your favorite team. (I am sure your napkin origami is spectacular but leave this one to the experts, okay Akira Yoshizawa?.) They come in packs of eight and many of the most popular NCAA teams are represented from the University of Alabama to the University of Wisconsin. They even have basketball themed napkins for traditional basketball schools like North Carolina. Not all NCAA football schools are available but many of the most popular schools that play in the BCS conferences like Oklahoma, Florida State, LSU, UCLA, Michigan, etc.  are on sale.

Check out the news story KQDS-TV, Fox 21, in Duluth, Minnesota did on JerseyNaps.

As of right now JerseyNaps come in college team colors and logos only and no NFL or Major League Baseball themed napkins are available. At a cost of $3.19 per 8-pack ($0.40 per napkin) you may want to keep them hidden from the super messy eater and encourage him to use the roll of paper towels instead.

Tailgating Video: Mema’s First Game of Beer Pong

Posted by Dave On April - 14 - 2008

Spring has sprung and that means one thing for tailgaters. College football spring games provide an excellent excuse to go out and tailgate like it’s October or November. I came across this video of a game of beer pong prior to the Florida State Spring Football game. Apparently the secret to winning at beer pong is to bring in a ringer. That ringer? Granny.
