Memphis Tailgating Grill

Here at TailgatingIdeas.com, we love the resolve and the commitment fans have to show their support for their team. Despite the fact that Margaritaville Tailgating Grills are harder to find than a vegan at a BBQ competition, many of you are finding ways to customize them to team colors and logos.

Last week it was Josh who did his own SDSU tailgating grill. Before that it was a reader submitted University of Miami Hurricanes tailgating grill.

Now comes this Memphis Tigers tailgating grill submitted by reader Jason who is also an RSS subscriber. Check out his creation. He told us in his email the swing arm is not customized yet but the grill itself is ready for the parking lot.

You can tell it is football season and by that we mean prime tailgating season. Even though the Margaritaville Tailgating Grill is harder to find than a cheeseburger at a vegan support group, our readers are still finding ways to customize them to show their team spirit.

Last week it was a Miami Hurricanes fan who did his own “U” tailgating grill. This weekend we got these photos in from Josh who customized his grill to represent the San Diego State Aztecs. Check out his grill that will be the only one of its kind in the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot on Saturdays.

Way back in 2010 one of our readers submitted photos of his own customized Miami Tailgating Grill. Well, he is back with some updated photos because he upgraded his previously customized grill to a new color scheme.

Despite Margaritaville discontinuing the manufacture of these grills, many tailgaters are either updating or choosing to take their existing grill and customize it to their own team colors and logos. This grill will be making an appearance very soon.

Clemson Tailgating Grill

With the new year comes a new example of how to get creative when it comes to customizing a Margaritaville Tailgating Grill. This one was completed actually last year as a Christmas gift for one lucky Clemson Tigers fan. As you can see by the photos it was completed after the sun had set so we apologize for the dark images. Despite being dark out you can see that we customized the swing arm to appear to look like a tiger’s tail.

If you haven’t been paying attention lately you should know that the availability of these Margaritaville Tailgating Grills is getting more and more scarce. It would appear that Margaritaville has no intention of manufacturing more so when the last of the grills are sold, they will be gone forever. We checked all the local Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores in our area to find they were all sold out. These grills were on clearance specials so it is no wonder they sold so quickly. So the long and the short of it is, if you have always wanted one of these grills for your tailgating set-up, you better act now before they are all gone and you have to pay a King’s ransom to get one.

Dallas Cowboys Tailgating Grill

Since customizing these grills over the years it has been surprising which teams we tend to get a lot of requests for and some teams none at all. Much to our surprise we had not customized a Dallas Cowboys tailgating grill… until now.

As you can see in the above photos, we customized this Dallas Cowboys Tailgating Grill for Max, the inventor of the Z-Bench. Since his invention is perfect for tailgating and integrates well with the swing out feature of these grills, it was a no brainer to add it to his truck.
