A few weeks ago we were out at the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show in Las Vegas. While there we discovered a lot of new tailgating gear and games and basically a lot of really cool stuff. One very cool (literally and figuratively) piece of gear we found out there was the TurboChill. What this product does is it flash chills beer down to 35 – 42 degrees from a keg of beer that is room temperature. We shot this video with Tim Fenner, the distributor of the TurboChill, to show you how it works.

Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving. In America it is Columbus Day but in Canada they will stuff their faces with turkey and potatoes and give thanks for all of their good fortune over the past year. Celebrated on the second Monday in October, does anyone else find it coincidental that the hockey season tends to open up around the same time? I am sure one of the things Canadians are thankful for is hockey season and a mention of that probably sneaks its way into the pre-dinner prayer. Just be thankful that hot Canadian hockey fans like to sports their favorite team’s colors even if you aren’t Canadian. Links follow the image:
More than likely you probably have an empty keg shell or two laying around your house. You’ve been waiting for that perfect time to turn it in at your local liquor store and exchange it for a full keg. In the meantime, why don’t you take that empty keg and make it into something useful…. like a bar stool.
As you can see in the above photo, The Keg Stool turns any American full size keg shell (15.5 gallon san key type D) into a 32″ bar height cushioned bar stool. The seat even swivels and has a foot rest just like a regular bar stool. The best part is that this a separate kit that you install on your own old keg shell without doing any damage to the keg shell itself. So if you are in the mood for a kegger or want to bring a keg to your next tailgate party, the Keg Stool kit comes off and your keg can be refilled. Take a look at the video to see how easy it is to install a Keg Stool on your old keg shell.
You’ll notice from the video that no holes were drilled and never is the structural integrity of the keg shell compromised. The Keg Stool kit attaches to the keg shell with bolts that are tightened by allen wrenches and they hold the kit firmly to the outside of the keg. Simply reverse the bolts and your keg is unharmed and ready for a refill.
Although the Keg Stool is not really designed for tailgating because of the amount of space it would take up to get it to your tailgate party, the “wow” and “coolness” factor of the Keg Stool is enough to overlook that. And for you larger tailgaters out there, have no fear, the Keg Stool can handle up to 300 pounds of weight. Go ahead and have that extra rack of ribs. The Keg Stool can handle you.
Because we think this is a great product that would impress anyone at your next tailgate party, we are offering the Keg Stool for sale directly from our online tailgating store, Shop.TailgatingIdeas.com. We’re even offering it for the same price had you bought it directly from the manufacturer. You can even get a Keg Stool either with or without a decommissioned keg.
