Mailbag: Customized Chargers Grill Spotted At Qualcomm Stadium

Posted by Dave On September - 22 - 2009

So last week I was contacted by a football fan that was interested in customizing a Margaritaville Tailgating Grill into a San Diego Chargers grill. I had previously converted my own Margaritaville Tailgating Grill into a Chargers themed grill and even put together a YouTube video demonstrating how easy it was to do it on your own.

The guy that emailed was seeking info on the grill itself and not just the customization process. I assured him the grill was high quality and was of the same quality you would expect from Freedom Grill. Long story short, he bought a Margaritaville Tailgating Grill took it home and started working on customizing it to be ready in time for this past weekend’s Chargers game when they hosted the Baltimore Ravens. He snapped a few photos with his camera phone and this is the one that showed it off the best.

As you can see in the above photo he chose to paint the fold-out side tables and handles Chargers blue and gold whereas I chose to leave mine black. The beauty of this project and these grills is that you are only limited by your own creativity and imagination of how you would like your grill to look.

Great job Don on the customized grill. Looks awesome and hopefully more and more people will send us photos of their own customized grills.

Just in case you want to customize your own Margaritaville Tailgating Grill, see the video below. If you would rather have someone else customize it to your exact specifications and ship it to you completed, click HERE.
