Vos...you may be one of a few though. You use the word "I" a lot showing that you personally have a great deal of interest in the NFL, but how do you know that those 85,000 are going to continue to be fans. It is easy to get a lot of attention from a single event that is not the usual norm for any region. Example...a local band from a country, state, town, or what have you goes international for its first concert abroad. This has some truth to it. How do you compensate season ticket holders? They just lost out on one full game to attend.

What kind of sh!t are you speaking. I was born in England in 1974 and have lived in England all my life. I fell in love with the NFL in 1985 as an 11 year old schoolboy. I went to NFL pre season games in London between 1988 and 1993 and they were in the most part full of rookies, walk-ons and practice squad fodder. I have been to see NFL regular season football in Miami, Tampa Bay, Washington, San Diego and San Francisco. I have been to all three London regular season NFL games and loved every minute. Each year we have packed in around 85,000 real NFL loving fans from across Europe. Your narrow and totally uneducated view is just plain old fashioned bullsh!t. I am ENglish and I know a hell of a lot about the NFL - a whole load more than you think. I know about guys like Marion Motley, Joe Perry, DOak Walker and Bobby Layne. I have a two page letter written to me from Johnny Unitas. I run two internet NFL Action PC Football leagues and I have an NFL blog - www.nflfaninengland.wordpress.com Before you write such crap again do some research. Look out I can see the NFL expanding to 18 regular season games and a London NFL franchise by 2020.

I agree--One of many things I enjoy about American football is that it's simply that--American. It's the only of the four major American sports where all of the teams are actually within the United States. Buffalo playing a game in Toronto or San Diego playing a game in TJ (has this happened?)? Sure. But jumping across the pond is unnecessary, and the thought of a team over there is ludicrous.

But to the Bucs fans who lost a day of tailgating--never fear, you can pick up six more on the USF schedule.
