Kentucky Tailgating Grill

Posted by Dave On September - 12 - 2010

Although we have been customizing tailgating grills for about a year now, I always love it when the readers of TailgatingIdeas.com share photos of doing their own custom tailgating grill. Reader Tim customized his grill to his beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats blue, black and white and shared some photos. Make sure to read his email to me after the photos. Hey man, here are some pics of my University of Kentucky grill all done. 5 before I left and 1 in the Green Lot at Commonwealth Stadium. I got it finished just in time to use at our first home game (63-28 Win verses Western KY).

Thanks again for your help on the paint. I ended up using Krylon Fusion for the blue and black and it worked great. I was really happy with the shade of blue I found. I also used Rustoleum High Heat White for the heat shield just to be safe. The vinyl letters on the swing arm cost me $10 bucks at a sign shop.

I already received many compliments on the grill.

I really appreciate your youtube video and your website.

I just had to represent UK Tailgating. Kentucky will always be a football school in my mind!
