Most anyone who has tailgated at least once in their life has had pork while in the parking lot. Baby back ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, pork loin… they are all huge crowd favorites while tailgating. So what if there was a way to win some cool tailgating gear and get some free pork to go along with it? Now you can and it is so easy and won’t cost you anything.
The National Pork Board has teamed up with celebrity chef Michael Symon and have come up with hints and tips for Tackle Tailgating with Pork. There Michael Symon shares pork recipes, grilling tips and overall lots of tailgating ideas on how to incorporate pork into your next tailgate party.
To help promote this initiative the National Pork Board is offering up a Tackle Tailgating with Pork prize package to one lucky reader of TailgatingIdeas.com. The prize package includes:
In the interest of full disclosure, the National Pork Board sent me this same type of prize package. I was surprised when I received it because I was expecting the cooler to be rather small. In actuality what arrived was a 38 quart wheeled Igloo cooler. The $25 American Express Gift Card will also come in handy for buying some baby back ribs to smoke for this weekend’s upcoming games.
So here is how you can win your own Tackle Tailgating with Pork prize package. All you need to do is become a fan of ours on Facebook. Once there, look for the Tackle Tailgating with Pork post and leave a comment telling us what is your favorite pork dish you like to eat while tailgating. Comments will be accepted until Midnight, Monday, November 1, 2010. After all comments have been submitted before the deadline, one person will be selected at random using the Random.org True Random Number Generator. Once selected we’ll ask you for your address so that the National Pork Board can send you your prize package. It’s just that easy.
To check out the National Pork Board on Twitter, you can follow them @allaboutpork or on Facebook at The Other White Meat Campaign.

Newy Scruggs is the sports guy for the NBC affiliate in Dallas/Fort Worth. While doing a live shot outside of AT&T Park in San Francisco before the World Series, he apparently got a whiff of what some tailgaters were partaking in in the parking lot. Take a look.

As tailgating moves further into the fall and the temperatures in Texas turn cooler there’s nothing better than chili to help keep your tailgate warm.
After tailgate testing Cin Chili we found it to be such a perfect match that we’ve adjusted our future menus to include Cin Chili for each of our last three tailgates this season.
Cin Chili is a family owned business started by Cindy Reed Wilkins. With two first place trophies from the Terlingua International Chili Championship Cindy is the only person with back-to-back titles in the history of the competition–the Archie Griffin of Chili cook-offs, if you will. Griffin, a former running back for Ohio State University, is the first and only back-to-back winner of the Heisman Trophy.
After years of perfecting her recipe—she’s won more than 300 cook-offs in her career–Cindy now shares her chili recipes and spices with those that are interested. She’s even appeared on the Food Networks Thrown Down with Bobby Flay. Flay routinely challenges the absolute masters in different areas of cooking expertise like BBQ, pizza and chili. When it came time to take on the world’s best in chili he came to Cindy’s door.
The Cin Chili mix is value priced at $5. Ingredients include all the usual suspects: red pepper, jalapeno pepper, salt and special chili powders. All the details on the product can be found by clicking here.
Cin Chili is spicy enough to keep your mouth watering and the drinks flowing, but it’s not so hot that you need to call the fire department. A genuine mix of Chili goodness from one of the all-time greats—Cindy Reed Wilkins.
Cin Chili – Tailgate Approved.
Here’s the recipe we tested and will be using during our tailgates. The recipe below serves 10.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders attended the Howl-O-Scream event at Busch Gardens and thankfully they wore their skimpy game day uniforms while doing it. I am also thankful that someone decided to bring along a video camera and capture the experience on film. If watching scantily clad, extremely attractive, buxom women walking through a spook house and screaming in terror is your….. what? You’re still reading this….? Links to follow:
